Our Two Trees

Our backyard tree is a red pine which in Minnesota is sometimes called the Norway pine. It's a beautiful tree. We're in the time of year where it really starts to drop it's needles. The above photo was taken from the alley. I'm not sure how old this tree is.

Our front yard tree is a silver maple. Last time we had the tree guy out he estimated it was about 100 years old. The leaves have turned to a soft shade of yellow and are dropping slowly but steadily. The above photo was taken just south of our house.

Front Yard Tree

This is a drawing I did of our front yard tree. I photographed the drawing, colored the picture on the computer, and then ran it through a couple filters on photoshop.

Front Yard - Saturday November 9, 2013

Dale and I got all leaves raked the next day. The trees really held onto their leaves a long time this year so raking ending up being a one shot deal prior to the final leaf pick-up by the city.

Anne the Magnolia

Our neighbor Deb planted a new magnolia tree in her front yard. She decided to name the tree Anne.

Cleaned Up Boulevard

The workers came back and cleaned up the boulevard around the new sidewalk panels. New grass seed was planted too.
